The squash grip of your squash racket is very important, without a good squash grip you can lose your squash racket while playing cause having wet hands. Also, placing a ball is much easier if your squash racket is firmly placed in your hand. A good decent squash grip also increases comfort and fun. At QSS-Squash.com we have a large assortment of squash grips from different brands such as: Dunlop squash grips, Eye squash grips, Head squash grips, Karakal squash grips, Prince squash grips, Salming squash grips en Tecnifibre squash grips.
How do I choose the right Squashgrip?
The right squash grip is primarily a personal choice. The most sold squash grip is the Karakal PU Supergrip, which can be obtained in different colors. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with the grip that you use and that suits your needs, such as very soft, slightly thinner, not to mention the color. A number of grips that we find very good are: Tecnifibre Squash Dry Grip, Head Hydrasorb Pro, Eye Squash Grip, Dunlop Viper Dry.
If you really want a thicker squash grip we advise to use an overgrip and not 2 basic grips over each other, with 2 basic squash grips over each other you lose a lot of feeling of the squash racket. Or use are squash racket tuning components or service to increase your racket grips size.
QSS recommends regularly replacing your squash grip. In this way you prevent the squash racket from slipping out of your hand, or you break your squash racket unnecessarily. If your grips are worn out, you will automatically squeeze your squash grip harder, by doing so and hitting a wall it will increase the impact on the frame witch can cause breakage of the squash racket. A good squash grip is therefore more important than you think. Depending on the chosen grip, we recommend replacing it every 8 to 10 times (Karakal Pu super grip) play (for more expensive grips such as the head Hydrasorb pro 10 to 12 times). This is how you can prevent damage and you have more control over the ball and you hit a better ball. An overgrip has a short lifespan so replace it regularly (5-8 times).
A match player will replace the grip every match for optimal ball feeling and comfort.
