The Tecnifibre Dynergy APX 120 the successor to the not so beloved Tecnifibre Dynergy AP 125. The predecessor was not exactly a super big success, often it was found too powerful with too little ball control. Fortunately Tecnifibre has done something with this. Replace the "fan pattern" (tapping string pattern) for a standard straight string pattern. This also changed the string pattern from 16x16 to 14x17. The DNAMX 1.20 string which is really a powersuit has made way for the much softer X-One Biphase 1.25 in a fresh new color. Because of these adjustments, it has become a squash racket with much more control and still has plenty of power. The weight has also dropped by 5 grams to 120 grams.
The Tecnifibre X-ONE Biphase according to the experts (including us) the best multifilament squash string compared to the much more expensive Natural Gut (Bowel) strings. Now in a fresh orange color. Delivered from the factory in a 1.25mm version, which means that the durability is somewhat higher. The Tecnifibre X-One Biphase is a very soft and flexible string, so that there is a good ball contact and therefore can be controlled well with the ball.
The bumper on your squash racket. Did you know that it weighs more than 12 grams in most cases. This sounds like there is little but 12 grams at 120 grams is still 10%. Tecnifibre has the bumper with holes to save weight. This saves the 4 grams compared to a bumper without holes. These 4 grams in the head of the racket significantly reduce the swing weight, allowing the racket to move through the air quickly and easily.
The shape of the stem of a squash racket determines to a large extent how the racket feels. By applying the so-called JumboShaft which is quite thick for a squash racket, the squash racket generates more power than with a thinner handle.
Just like the Tecnifibre Carboflex X-Speed, which was renewed last year, the squash racket now has a Shaftcrown, this is a rubber edge that you can fold away to glue the grip below, this is especially for the looks.
A small bridge in a drop-shaped racket. We see it more and more often, in this way a combination is made between the power of a drop of racket and the control of the bridge frame. Where in the pastor the strings went around the bridge they now go through with a bumper. We know this for example from the very popular Dunlop Evolution PRO which also has the same sheet size of 490cm2 (a width more string)
Due to the placement of the bridge, the length of the strings is shorter, so that the total surface tension of the string goes up. This benefits the control.
The squash racket comes with a full squash racket cover with an adjustable carrying strap.
